Administrators of sports car firm TVR are planning to advertise the business for sale as a going concern in the new year and are to meet union officials on January 2 to discuss the company's future.

TVR has faced uncertainty since announcing plans to move production from its Bispham headquarters to a new Blackpool base. It then disclosed plans in October to move abroad but a week ago it fell into administration.

Staff at Blackpool Automotive, makers of TVR, were told by letter two days before Christmas they would not be getting paid because there were "no funds available".
