What are the best options for airport parking?

We're flying from Stansted and want to avoid high train fares to get there. Is valet parking a risk? Are there parking alternatives?

Four of us are flying out of Stansted airport and I'm shocked to see it costs £126 for train travel to and from London. I'm going to drive and need the best options for parking. Friends use a valet parking service. Are they as risky as they sound? Is there a better option?
