If you are expecting to get a lift home tonight in a brown car with someone called Lloyd or Natasha then you might want to make other arrangements.
Researchers at insurer Esure have worked out which first names crop up most when it comes to insurance claims. Their efforts have uncovered the fact that men called Lloyd and women called Natasha make more claims than most.
They assert that 30% of men called Lloyd are likely to make a claim on their car insurance over a year, while 35% of women called Natasha are likely to claim.
Meanwhile, the idea that red cars have the most accidents has been thrown out the window. In fact, brown cars are 22% more likely to be involved in a claim.
The safest thing, then, would be to ask around to see if there is anyone called Murray or perhaps Mavis, driving a cream coloured car, who's going your way. According to Esure, they are the names and the cars least likely to be involved in an insurance claim over the course of a year.
